This deepest-ever discount (which includes a student activity set and teacher’s edition) is designed to help districts be better able to afford to bring our state history textbook to online students.

This fall, the Society Press publishes its first e-book only edition of its classic Voices and Votes: How Democracy Works in Wisconsin by Bobbie Malone and Jon Kasparek, a “New Badger History” series volume. The e-book is designed to be used by educators and parents to help children learn the basics, and history, of how government—and elections. Publication of an updated, print edition of this top-selling education market

You Can Be a Part of History
The Society is actively documenting the impact of COVID-19 on Wisconsin and the world. Our tradition of balancing the
collection of artifacts and material with personal experiences is a critical part of this process. Perfect for a long-term writing project!

Building on what teachers and students love about a Wisconsin Historical Museum field trip, these live interactive programs use students’ critical thinking skills to solve mysteries related to Wisconsin history. Designed for grades 3-5, these 30-minute inquiry-driven programs are intended for one classroom at a time.
Teachers can register for a package of 4 programs to spread throughout the school year, each with a different mystery. Museum staff host each program, acting as facilitator and leading students through each mystery. The initial program offerings include:
- A Mississippian Mystery - Where did the museum’s Aztalan house come from?
- The Mystery in the Mine - Who stole the miner’s tools?
- The Riddle of the Red Roses - Who put red roses on our suffrage display?
- Symbol Sleuths - What do the symbols on the flag really mean?
- Dr. Babcock’s Mystery Machine - What is this mysterious object?
